Job Overview
Salary Range: $125-135K
Ideal Candidate must live in the San Diego area
This is a hybrid role, remote with 1-2 days in the office
Position Summary
The HR Analytics Manager is responsible for leveraging data and analytics to optimize HR processes, improve employee experience, and drive organizational performance. This role involves leading the HR analytics function, interpreting complex data, providing actionable insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop strategies that support business goals. In addition, this role is responsible for report writing and overall HR reporting governance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports, providing insights into key HR metrics such as turnover, employee engagement, recruitment, retention, and performance.
- Analyze trends and patterns in HR data to identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations to HR leadership.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of HR data.
- Partner with HR leadership to develop long-term strategies based on data trends and business needs.
- Create meaningful presentations that represent the employee experience story using data analytics.
- Provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to support HR and business leaders in workforce planning, talent management, and organizational design.
- Conduct predictive modeling and trend analysis to forecast workforce needs and to assist in developing retention strategies.
- Analyze employee surveys, feedback, and engagement data to assess overall satisfaction and identify areas for improvement in the employee experience.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to design and implement strategies based on data insights to enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Utilize workforce analytics to help guide strategic HR initiatives, including workforce optimization, succession planning, and organizational development.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable data privacy and security regulations, maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive HR data.
- Implement best practices for HR data management and ensure data integrity.
- Work closely with HR business partners, recruitment, talent development, and other departments to understand their needs and deliver analytics solutions that support their goals.
- Present findings to senior leadership (including HR and Field), translating complex data into actionable insights and business recommendations.
- Stay up to date on the latest trends in HR analytics, machine learning, and data visualization tools.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance HR data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws involving employment, HR, and HR policies
- Technology - experience with MS Office, Workday, Tableau, and Power BI
- Experience using Workday’s reporting tools S
- Analytical mindset: Able to demonstrate risks and opportunities with supporting data analysis
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS, payroll, and similar employee management software
- Experience in data visualization and storytelling to make data more understandable and actionable.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and trends in employee engagement, performance management, and retention.
- Strong understanding of HR metrics and KPIs
- Experience with statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
- Priority setting, time management and organizational skills
- Sense of urgency
Educational Qualifications/Job Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field required.
At least three years of experience in HR Analytics, HRIS or a similar role, with a proven track record of leveraging data to drive HR decisions and strategies.
